How it works
From idea to printed QR code — and beyond
Creating a QR code takes about a minute. Here's what happens at each step, and after you print.
- 1
Choose what the code should open
A website, a PDF, a menu with several links, Wi-Fi, a contact card, WhatsApp, a payment link and more. Each type has its own simple form — and a live phone preview showing exactly what people will see.
- 2
Design it
Pick a frame with a call to action, your colors, shapes and logo. A real QR decoder tests the design as you edit, so you know it scans before you print.
- 3
Create it
Static types like Wi-Fi download right away. For dynamic codes you create an account — your design is saved and waiting. Every account starts with a 7-day trial, no card required.
- 4
Download and print
PNG for screens, SVG for designers and PDF for printers. Print at least 2 × 2 cm, and bigger for posters seen from afar.
- 5
Track and change
See scans per day, places and devices. Change the destination anytime — every printed copy follows.
Static vs dynamic QR codes
Some codes hold their content directly; others point to a short link that you control.
Static
- Content stored in the code itself
- Works without internet
- Can't be changed after printing
- No scan statistics
- Used for Wi-Fi, text, email, SMS and phone
Dynamic
- Short link that we manage
- Change the destination anytime
- Scan statistics: places, devices, days
- Password, schedule and custom short link
- Used for websites, PDFs, menus, WhatsApp and more
What happens after the trial?
After 7 days you can continue with PRO for $15/month. If you don't, nothing breaks the same day: your codes keep working for 14 more days and we email you before anything changes. Pay again at any point and everything works instantly — nothing is deleted.

- Do I need to download an app?
- No. Swoo.se works in the browser, and people scanning your code use their phone's built-in camera.
- How long does it take?
- About a minute for most codes. Bulk creation turns a spreadsheet into hundreds of codes in one go.
- Can I try it before creating an account?
- Yes. Design your code first; you only need an account to receive a dynamic code.
